Description

The Waves is an experimental novel by using English writer Virginia Woolf, first posted in 1931. The book has seven characters: Bernard (a story-teller), Louis (an outsider), Neville (who may also were partially based totally on Lytton Strachey), Jinny (a socialite), Susan (a mom), Rhoda (a solitary female), and Percival (the hero). whilst the primary six have monologues that make up the unconventional, the reader never hears the latter communicate in his very own voice. The Waves explores thoughts of individualism and self as it follows the narrators from adolescence to maturity. The thoughts by the characters are broken up by 9 interludes that element a coastal scene.
